Building Update #29: Siding, Stairs, Wiring

While I have been neglecting my duties as the blog updater, Jake has been working really hard on the house.  Since our last update, the exterior is complete, plumbing and wiring is roughed in, and this weekend Jake installed the stairs.  Once the stairs are complete, the next step will be a rough-in inspection by the City, and if we pass we will be able to start insulating and drywalling!

  2. I just love how your house stood as a beautiful, getaway cottage! It looks very cozy, and I feel that the interior would be more welcoming. And the deep blue of your house sort of matched the surrounding greenery and the sky. I’m sure it’ll be tons better once everything is done. Thanks for sharing!

    1. As it turns out, the house is cozy. The Passivhaus concept is no BS. There's nothing like seeing the temperature on the thermostat tick up with the house under sun power alone.
